          Shit was taking a beating on him and you can't live of cigarettes and coffee and red bul like those guys do it's a rough life to get good money. But in this world if you want the money there is always an opportunity cost.

            That's too bad. I love the show and he was my favorite on the show. He seldom was w/o his cigs and coffee.

            Shifts for crewmen are 18 hrs on and 6 off in about the worst elements I could imagine. Not sure what shifts the Capt's had but I'd bet it was many 24 hr shifts.

            Sucks to hear he's gone.

              Yup most of the people on that show seemed liked real good guys. At least the family have some video of him doing what he loved. I imagine the guy that helped Phil those times he was in the hospital will captain the boat till the boys get more experience

                Yea, I remember him teaching the boys and testing em at times in a good way and he seemed to have taught them well.

                He seemed like a good man.
