Anyone ever been to Santorini Greece? (Getting Married)

1) Its about Damn time you found your balls and asked that woman to marry you.
2) I can't imagine having a wedding without my parents at the minimum, but God bless.
3) Go to Cape Town SA for the wedding.

south Africa was a great trip no doubt, but B has Italian routes so thats prolly why he's picked somewhere a short trip from the homeland so he can itroduce Sana to the Corleones

we were actually thinking about getting married there and spending like 3-4 days there. then getting on a plane and flying to Italy for a week to see the sites etc.. so sort of like 2 honeymoons with the wedding as part of that. Santorini is such a small area i think after 3-4 days we will have seen all there is to see.

when we get back we will just rent a place like a nice pub/brewery type restaurant for the day for the family. Nothing fancy or anything like that. just a nice place to have good food and relax.

Sounds great. Italy is my favorite place I have ever visited, I love it. Your plan sounds weird like mine, we don't want a big wedding either, we are thinking about a 3 week trip. Great minds think alike. :thumup:

Few changes after looking around for a few hours.

1.) We wont be going to Italy. Its just kinda dumb to go to Italy if we are going to fly into Athens and then have to take a different plane to the Santorini area. Instead we are going to spend 2-3 days in Athens and see all the ruins etc.. and then like a week in Santorini.

2.) Change in where we are going to stay. This is the place we have decided on. Santorini Luxury Hotel | Traditional Houses Oia Santorini | Cycladic Islands Suites Apartments Maisonettes & Studios

The rooms have a private terrace with a hot tub looking out over the Aegean Sea!

Sounds like a great idea to me, actually we did the same, remember my South Africa wedding? it was just us, couple friends and that's it. We then toured south Africa and had a reception on our return.

I see it this way, a wedding is about two people who love each other, not about their families.

Always ok with it, I just saw it as something way off when I was younger and I was always convinced that people could get married too early.
