I think it's more of a ''going against the grain" in terms of enjoyment. They just have to say it sucks when in fact they never gave it much chance.

I didn't care for Anchorman the first time I watched it but then I saw it again and picked up on the humor.

They are both well written parody type comedies. If you look at the era and the topic it makes it even funnier because you can make the correlation.

i would say tropic thunder is much funnier then anchorman. though i agree, that movie gets funnier every time you watch it.

Well now I see it differently. I gave Tropic Thunder a chance, watched the whole thing. My reasoning is I hate Ben Stiller and his kind of comedies. I don't think he is funny nor any of his movies.

Now Anchorman was hilarious. That I feel is a comedy where they didn't try hard to be funny. Ben Stiller I feel tries too hard to be funny.
