I look at those ages, and I see they're like my classmates. It was hard to view that honestly.

One of those kids could have been me easily. I wake up every morning thanking God for putting a roof over my head and family I can hug and kiss everyday.

Good post Bouncer, it shows the harsh reality of war and how death can affect multiply people. I feel for those parents man

Pretty heavy stuff; unending respect and appreciation for those people. I hope this was truly meant to be a memorial and not a liberal tactic that the times sides with.

even if it was, you are just as bad as them to even bring that kind of crap up. its not about sides, its not about titles. its telling a story in pictures.

that kind of attitude makes me sick.

Well it upsets me that people would try to use the death of a young solider to persuade people's views. No need to do an article like that, next it will be pictures of fatherless children because of the war. (if they have not done it already). It's disgusting.

I have to beg to differ. I don't see it as trying to change people's views. I see it as a somber reminder that there is a real human cost to our freedom. It is the reason why when I went to the mall last week, I stopped a couple of military members in fatigue and said thank you. Nothing more was said, I walked away. There are real people fighting and dying. That is what photos show.

You need to see something like this to remind you people are giving their lives everyday for your freedoms? I have always defended our troops and they are always in my mind. When I was younger every time a plane landed at the base by me; coming from Desert Storm my mom drove me down to be able to shake all their hands and say thanks for what they had done. I doubt there is few people that respect what the military does/has done for this country through all of the years it has existed.

I guess we have different views on how to memorialize people; the walls Washington, D.C. in my view is the proper way.

Do not like the fact that they targeted young soliders only.

yes because there is no room for pictures of truth and pain. it should all be pictures of the American flag waiving in the wind and people singing god bless America.

for fucks sake, could you be anymore ignorant?

I just see no point for things like these, what purpose does it serve? I see it as disrespectful to the fallen.

so what you are saying is that you can only respect the country and respect the military by never showing or talking about the bad sides of war and what it does to peoples family's?

to respect the soldiers and respect the country is to never reports about or show the sadness that comes from war. is that really what you are saying? really?

it serves a huge purpose. it reminds me and many others that life is precious and that war can be a terrible thing. and yes these types of picture do remind people of that. they are powerful as you have confirmed by your ignorant reaction.

would you rather all stories about the war to be propaganda or pro US news? if you truly want that from a country then you are not a true American. you would be more at home in North Korea, former soviet union, Iran, china, etc..

If a person does not realize that people are going to die when a war goes on that need serious help. But, to sensationalize it with something like this is? Disrespectful in my book. Leave the soldiers families alone they have given enough now you invade their homes and stir up these horrible emotions?

The news should just report on the progress of the war nothing more.

This is what I am getting at; and you don't believe those pictures are part of this problem you are mistaken.
