Jon Jones fucking destroyed Vera. Hell Couture couldn't even finish him and this 22 yr old rookie man handled him. I said it about him in his last fight; if he continues on this path and keeps his head straight he will be the next Anderson Silva or better.

It looked like he fractured Vera's face.

Brandon Vera suffered more than defeat on Sunday night in Broomfield, Colo., as the fight changing left elbow from Jon Jones resulted facial fractures for the light heavyweight.

The blow came a few minutes into the first round with Jones postured up in Vera's guard. It connected to the side of the face, causing Vera to roll over in obvious pain.

According to Vera's manager Matt Stansell, the blow caused three fractures to the right cheekbone of Vera. Talking to MMAJunkie.com, Stansell said "The whole right side of Brandon's face was numb."
