How's the GTI bro? I am hooked on getting a '08.5 or '09 with the TSI motor.

I was talking to few guys about the FSI motor, and they suck massive balls. Their problems are beyond imaginable.

One of the guys at the VW meets has a Fahrenheit GTI with a K04 turbo, turbo-back exhaust, intake, front mount, and other odds and ends.
Holy Fuck! Pulls like no other, plenty of power :thumup:

We went for a ride and he had no traction for the first 3 gears, lol.

Uh, the car is good. Its definitely an interesting car. The tires on the car suck, and the engine is a bit weird, but it does its job fairly well. I don't plan on keeping the car past it warranty, so engine issues with maintenance should not be an issue.

I would have no idea. its not the chain driven one...I dont know anything about VW's and I haven't taken the time to learn about this one.

Oh ok, its the FSI motor. Since its your daily driver and you aren't modding it I guess you're good.

Two big issues are A/C compressors failing at random times along with the fuel pump. The fuel pump has a follower that follows it in the camshafts, and that metal piece grinds your cams resulting in a new follower, camshaft, and fuel pump. $1500 job if out of warranty. You should be good.

I think its how you read what I said. It is not that I have a stick up my butt, it is that I have a very different approach to cars now than I have in my past. For example, "I have not taken the time to learn about this one..." saying that I have not been engaged enough to learn about this car.

Far be it for me to have to tell you this, but on top of working 65hrs a week, doing my PT cert class, lifting, and looking for jobs...I volunteer and get barely any down time. I did not say, "I don't believe this car is worth researching." I made the statement that I have not the made the effort to determine what type of car it is.

Thats just my FYI. People can read into what they want, how they want. I'm not that complicated...
