Oh ok, its the FSI motor. Since its your daily driver and you aren't modding it I guess you're good.

Two big issues are A/C compressors failing at random times along with the fuel pump. The fuel pump has a follower that follows it in the camshafts, and that metal piece grinds your cams resulting in a new follower, camshaft, and fuel pump. $1500 job if out of warranty. You should be good.

I finally got time to read about this. What idiot came up with this idea? Really? VW is such a disappointment sometimes. That should be a recall issue at some point...

yes its very sad. Don't forget that they fixed all these issues with the TSI motor.

Plus you said your VW is under warranty, so if it decides to fuck up, you're good
