What I find funny is that AT&T which is today mainly a cell phone company got so many things right EXCEPT the whole portable device thing. They assumed you would have to go to a phone booth and could not foresee things like iphones, netbooks, etc..
They were dead on with some of those ideas. lol at the phone booth. Those things are dead technology. Everyone uses a webcam these days, and soon with 4G we can video chat using our cell phones.

Actually they did fore see the netbook web conference stuff, you can see it at 1:20 mark. I think they were showing the phone booth as another alternate but you are right about the cellular system they didn't mention it at all.

the web conference stuff was using a big honking desktop computer.
and LOL @ the widescreen CRT monitor. never seen one of those.
