  • 2011 Hyundai Equus arrives to take on the big guns

Say what you want about the brand, but if you like cars in general this is a good thing. Company's like Hyundai are now pushing the other manufactures to make better cars and that will cost us less.

You may say, "I would never spend $50k on a hyundai". That is fine but if you were to go drive around in this thing and look at the quality of the materials and feel the smooth comfortable drive, and feel the easy acceleration of the 385hp V8 you would never in a million years know it was a Hyundai until you saw the badge.

To me it is amazing what Hyundai is doing for its price point. A BMW, MERC, Lexus etc.. with the same features would easily be $100k.

This is a good thing for the car world guys. Don't knock them for trying and making a car that is actually decent!

i appreciate what these car manufacturers are doing. they're make the car market aggressive so that the general public, middle class income earning people can get the cars they want at a good price and enjoy their driving experience. question now is will hyundai be raising their maintenance costs drastically seeing as they're stepping up the quality?

Very impressed with Kia and Hyundai. Looks like they want to play with the big dogs. Can't blame them, both companies had over a decade to learn and experiment with different ideas. So we'll see how their hard work will pay off
