Let your mind be still, and just float away.

i think its different things for different people.

for me because i live in a city type environment, relaxation for me is taking my car out into the country of north west new jersey and driving around on those country roads. nothing but fresh air, green everywhere, no cars in sight etc.. that is an escape for me.

sex (for me, not so much for you). doing mindless activities like videogames. going for a walk around the neighborhood/park with someone's who's company i enjoy. you could also go get a massage at a local spa. look up and see if there are yoga classes offered at recreation centers and then maybe local gyms after that.

another thing i do when i'm super stressed is find an activity that i have been wanting to do for a long time and then go for it. it's usually something creative for me, like redecorating my room or learning a new drawing technique or just simply coloring in a coloring book.

It all depends on what's making me stressed as to what I need to do to relax.

For me its the gym, sex, and driving spirited.

Sounds like you're really stressed. Unfortunately each person is different when it comes to stress relief.

Get your mind off the stress and focus on how in 8 weeks you will reach your goal and be stress free. Think about positive things and keep your mind on that.

Stress unfortunately is an annoying bitch, you have to keep that bitch under control or else it will consume you. Best of luck bro :)

It is strange, because I am normally extremely confident and nothing shakes me. But leading up to June is a different story.

Sex works for me while I am doing it, but wears off immediately. I know this is because I see it as a game and am always looking for my next conquest.

Deca, that song actually helped. I put it on and relaxed on the floor. Helped clean my mind a bit.

DBJ-- yoga and videogames may be a good idea. I have never done yoga, and no games since classes started 3 years ago. Might have to give it a try.

B, driving makes me nuts. My high sensation seeking personality makes me go fast. With the mood I am in now, I would probably stop on a country road and start beating up farm animals.

DNA, thanks brother. I am doing some reading on postive visualization. Hoping that will take my mind off it. I have been stagnant in my prep the last few weeks, so hoping maybe that will push me up some more.

My pleasure man. Keep up on the positive visualization. We both know the human mind is great at accomplishing anything if we trigger the correct neurotransmitters.
You have to visualize yourself going into test day and owning whats yours. Set small goals now and review those goals. Than work your way up to big goals and believe it or not they will become easy. Same thing as short vs long term goals. Keep those in check daily, and review them. You will have a clear idea of what you need to do when test day comes.

Don't burn yourself out by studying too much, that will add twice as much stress and you won't learn anything, and when test day comes you'll be going crazy.

Just keep setting small goals everyday and work it, you will accomplish it. Don't think of 8 weeks as its coming tomorrow. 8 weeks is just a deadline for you to accomplish your long term goal.

that is like me with sex. But the second I am done, I want a new ride :)

Part of my problem is speed. I do everything balls to the wall, leave everything on the field. The mentality works for me, though sometimes I crash. It is tough to slow down at times. Everything is a a contest with me. And I have to win. always

you say it works for you and then you say you crash and cant deal with it.

you have to know when to battle and know when to relax.

learn how to do it or fail. simple as that.

I deal with the crash fine. Normally, I go for four, five months, then need a weekend to recover. I don't get stressed, just tired. A quiet weekend and I am ready to go.

How I feel now, I am still going all out, I just can't seem to get my bearings about me. It is as if I am going faster than ever, and my mind plays tricks on me. I need to slow it down some, not completely.
