Every developed country has its positive and negatives. America tries to be the parent and regulate where they see problems, though in that area it is not. When we try to force democracy upon countries, it is a noble effort. Unfortunately, some areas of the world have known nothing by dictators or one party rule that they are unable, or unwilling, to change.

I have a buddy teaching there right now. He told me technology is EVERYTHING in that country; they have shops the size of mega Wal-Marts just for electronics. They have ultra-fast wireless networks available everywhere in that city, even when you're underground in the subway you get a strong, steady signal strength thanks to hubs they put all along the tunnels. Their wired connections are at least 4x faster than the best cable internet speeds you'd get in North America.
