We saw Clash of the Titans this weekend in the new digital 3D and it fucking sucks. This makes four or five movies we've seen in the new 3D and they have all been shit. The new process looks more like an old ViewMaster reel than actual 3D.
The picture has depth of field but nothing comes flying off the screen at you like the old movies used to. And what's even worse is the movie doesn't look as good as it does on a regular screen. The glasses make the colors look faded and dull, and action scenes have a muted blur to them.
It's one thing if a movie was MADE to be in 3D in the first place but now they're just taking random movies and turning them into half assed digital 3D that ends up looking terrible.
Fuck you Hollywood, fuck you right in the ass.
