  • I like the Biggest Loser

I know none of you can relate to this show, but these people (for the most part) have completely changed their lives. They are saving theirs lives and its amazing to me. They are lucky to have the support system they have on this how.

I was at a point where I was close to type 2 diabetes and now my health / conditioning / physique is my life. I've never seen the show, just know the premise - what sort of stuff do they do ? My friend said they do like 6-8 hours a day of cardio ?? Like real long hikes etc. I don't know if I could watch it, but anyone who wants to lose weight and is willing to take the steps and dedication I respect. Fucking every other corner is a McDonalds or starbucks in this country, it's a joke. Look @ childhood obesity numbers... it's scary and it will get worse.

Have you seen the "where are they now" episodes? Most of them have gone back to fat.

How overweight are most of them to begin with ? I see a lot of people go on a diet , have a trainer etc - lose 30lbs - then they slip up and slowly and steadily are back munchin away on tater chips watching the show they used to be on lol. Like I said earlier today, I was just thinking about how in america everywhere I go see empty calories for sale - junk food is such a huge industry, people are always on the go and it seems as if the cheapest / most available is the worst for you. Really is sad, our country is doing itself in at this rate.

It is great, I love how they take these people with this horrible disease and help them live a better life...........

FUCK THAT. They should just make better choices, and if they want to eat themselves to death that is fine, and they can pay for any negative health effects themselves.

No one wants to take responsibility for their choices, and then they hope a pill, or a surgery, or a "support" group is the answer. Fuck that noise.

Pretty much like that in every state. I bet there is a strong correlation between overweight/obese people and people on welfare/medicade.

Even if they are on private insurance they cause rates to increase, you can be healthy as shit and have high premiums because all of the fat fuckers are on heart, thyroid, glucose, etc... meds.

America is all about paying people to do NOTHING.

Ironic how a lot of the poor fuckers are overweight, but they can afford to smoke, and afford cell phones, and get to pop as many babies out as they see fit.
