It’s a sad day for Happy Meals in Santa Clara County - Los Angeles Times

All I can think about is we are not placing near enough blame and responsibility on parents. :disagree:

I don't think its a bad idea, not that personal responsibility isn't a factor. I just feel there are other avenues.

          shutup you fat little shit.

its about choices. a happy meal was a treat when i was a kid. my mom might get me a happy meal once a month when i was little and i looked forward to that little toy.

Exactly, the marketing aspect is what they are trying to stop. The parents aren't buying the food because its healthy, but because its cheap. However, if the instance arises where the toy is more important than the food. That should not remain true, and children might not desire a happy meal as much without the toy.

I personally think it is a good idea. It eliminates part of the problem that does not need to be there, the toy that attracts kids.

If there were cheap, pre-made, easily accessible healthy food with toys...what might happen then? Think about that...

Yup, and the fact that the parents don't have to cook and clean up after them.

Just eat your happy meal on the tray, make a mess and than leave.

                  More nanny state bullshit.

Some people want the government to do everything for them.

                  Fucking shitbags.

I'm glad someone understands...I will point out...unless you have kids and both parents work full time, you can't talk about how easy it is to prepare home cooked meals every night.

Not that that is an excuse, simply an explanation.
