  • Pulled Over.. Got lucky

Was driving out in the country (Long Valley NJ). Beautiful area, beautiful weather, no traffic out there etc..

Was doing 82mph coming up this long straight road with a slight incline. Coming the other direction was an unmarked cruiser. Soon as I passed him he did a U-turn and I knew i was fucked. I looked for a road to turn off so I could hide but there was nothing, just a long straight country road.

So he pulls me over tells me I was doing 82mph in a 45 but then to my surprise he says, "im a car guy myself and i am always fare, how do you like the 370.. i been thinking of getting one myself"!!

We had like a 5 minute conversation about the car and then he asks for license and registration etc.. I give him that along with my cop card thing and he goes back to his car for like 3 minutes, comes back and just gives me a ticket for no seat belt. I thanked him and we started talking about the car for another few minutes! LMAO

This guy was cool as shit, loved cars, and was not full of himself at all.

Anyway, I got lucky with that one. The ticket would have been like $400 and I would have gotten a bunch of points on my license for doing 30+ mph over the limit. The seat belt ticket is only $45 and no points.

Not to mention that a few minutes before I got pulled over I was doing about 100 down this other road. Not sure he would have been so nice on that one. lol

haha, i dont know what kind of old age shitty equipment cops have in England but in America the radar equipment can most definitely tell how fast you are going if they are going the other way.

Do insurance companies in the US jack your rates if you get hit with a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt? They do in Canada.

na i dont think so. its not reported because its not a moving offense.

                    the speeding ticket would have.

Only if points get deducted off your license.

lol what does that even mean?

a ticket for a seat belt has no effect on points.

lol... minor traffic violations don't get you points. Shit like speeding does. So in your case Bouncer, you're good.

If he got you for speeding, that like 3-4 points and big ass fine. Your insurance would have skyrocketed.

he asked if a seat belt ticket would raise your insurance. you got all complicated with it. all you had to say was "no a seat belt ticket alone will not raise your insurance". :retard:
