Before I say what I'm going to, please understand I am not diminishing the value of astronomy. I am simply showing how there is a huge difference between what science interests me and the related sciences and the science that interests you. You have a strong fascination with astronomy, but that is merely the first step of science. The deeper you get, the directions science can take you multiplies exponentially. This brings interaction with other parts of the world that you can't intellectually ignore. I find you extremely naive and unwilling to read what I write objectively. You constantly try to say I am anti-religion, when in fact I constantly explain that I am pro free thinking. Your constant need to place labels on me makes you no different than those who live their lives in delusion. I enjoy science and merely want the generations to come, to be able to enjoy their life here on earth uninhibited.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Posthold on hold on hold on.
are you saying the universe in which we live in is not the pinnacle of science?:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
cosmology and astronomy are the mother of all science.
"If you love science as much as you say you do, you would have a strong distaste for false science"
thats where me and you think very differently. you are too worried and caught up in what others are thinking and doing. religion is meaningless to me, i pay it no attention. i dont attack it nor do i praise it.
Now for my explination of the science you enjoy and the science I enjoy. I'm only posting this to show the difference, not to give more credence to one over the other.
astronomy - the study of objects and matter outside the earth's atmosphere and of their physical and chemical properties
cosmology - 1 a : a branch of metaphysics that deals with the nature of the universe b : a theory or doctrine describing the natural order of the universe
2 : a branch of astronomy that deals with the origin, structure, and space-time relationships of the universe; also : a theory dealing with these matters
metaphysics - 1 a (1) : a division of philosophy that is concerned with the fundamental nature of reality and being and that includes ontology, cosmology, and often epistemology (2) : ontology 2 b : abstract philosophical studies : a study of what is outside objective experience
biology - 1 : a branch of knowledge that deals with living organisms and vital processes
2 a : the plant and animal life of a region or environment b : the life processes especially of an organism or group; broadly : ecology
genetics - 1 : a branch of biology that deals with the heredity and variation of organisms
2 : the genetic makeup and phenomena of an organism, type, group, or condition
sociology - 1 : the science of society, social institutions, and social relationships; specifically : the systematic study of the development, structure, interaction, and collective behavior of organized groups of human beings
2 : the scientific analysis of a social institution as a functioning whole and as it relates to the rest of society
biochemistry - 1 : chemistry that deals with the chemical compounds and processes occurring in organisms
2 : the chemical characteristics and reactions of a particular living organism or biological substance (as chlorophyll) <a change in the patient's biochemistry>
biotechnology - 1 : the manipulation (as through genetic engineering) of living organisms or their components to produce useful usually commercial products (as pest resistant crops, new bacterial strains, or novel pharmaceuticals); also : any of various applications of biological science used in such manipulation
bioengineering - 1 : biological or medical application of engineering principles or engineering equipment —called also biomedical engineering
2 : the application of biological techniques (as genetic recombination) to create modified versions of organism
chemistry - 1 : a science that deals with the composition, structure, and properties of substances and with the transformations that they undergo
2 a : the composition and chemical properties of a substance <the chemistry of iron> b : chemical processes and phenomena (as of an organism) <blood chemistry>
physics - 1 : a science that deals with matter and energy and their interactions
2 a : the physical processes and phenomena of a particular system b : the physical properties and composition of something

biology aka living things would not exist without the universe. the universe is the mother so to speak of everything.
sociology, do i really need to explain how small on the scale this is? human interaction and relationship. lol. humans are of very little importance in the scheme of everything. not even a blip on the radar. and you somehow think that is more important?
P.S. dont put a limit on what i am interested in. I am very much interested in physics, biology, chemistry, etc..
remember you are the one that said "You love astronomy and theoretical. Hardly the pinacles of science." so dont act like i started this comparison of "whos science is better".
