now when it goes to full time it then moves to extra time if no-one is winning, this is because its knock oyt stages now, there needs to be a winner and a loser. If there is now winner by end of extra time, its penalties!

If it goes to penalties, this is where I think the US has a huge advantage. Fucking Howard shouldn't be let back in America if we don't come out on top of that.

when the american player earlier in the game was bearing down on goal, he was trying that hard to make it look like he had been fouled (presumably to try and get a penalty awarded to him) he missed an easy goal. Contrastingly The Ghanaian player that just scored was shoulder barged by the american player when he wasn't even in possession of the ball yet, that was a foul but he didn't go down he kept on fighting to get to the ball and scores!

Ghana was the better team.

Only a brief period after the free kick goal did the US look good. Other then that Ghana outplayed the US the whole game.

USA got further than I'd expected, they did well! its a shame the dream didn't continue but I suspect this has raised some respect/expectations of the national side across America
