i saw Karate Kid today. i have to admit, it was a lot better in terms of the story when compared to the original but it's not the same with mr. miyagi. jackie chan did a decent job nonetheless. it dragged on though. i feel as though they tried to keep as much video in the final cut. and jaden smith did a great job for a little kid.
Prince of Persia was a slight let down. i played the video games the problem that i have with it (and a lot of the middle east) is that no one person except for the indians were brown! wtf? i know the director could have found an american-"persian" who would have done an equally amazing job. don't get me wrong, jake gyllenhall is a decent actor and got in amazing shape for the movie but giving him a tan and a british accent doesn't cut it for me. the story held true to the concept of the game but the story was changed to make it better for mainstream audiences.
