I think its great that groups, the gov, and regular people help when we have these disasters but I just got back from visiting a buddy in New Orleans and the place is still such a wreck it just seems that everyone starts a rebuild project and these starts raising funds but they never stay to finish the job then just move to the next disaster , i was amazed seeing how people still live in our own country in NO from Katrina its a shame to see these families that way but we will drop so much effort once the media is gone and then help Hati which is good but I feel we should help those in our own country 1st jmo. I know Im new here sorry to vent it just shocked me. reminds me of the war how we all heard about bin ladin every 2 seconds and now never hear of him.

Sometimes people need to get off their lazy goldbrickin', welfare check cashing asses and help themselves too.
Go look around other parts of the south that were hit just as hard and you would never know a storm went thru there.
Fucking towns in shithole Alabama had streets cleared and services up the next damn day.
Big difference is they did it themselves, they didn't sit around and wait for the government to rescue them.
