Gold is an excellent conductor but I'm sure it's isolated to the case so it shouldn't have any impact on the picture, other than the reflection and glare you mentioned.

One thing we noticed right away was how funky shit looks at 1080 and 120hz.

Fucking TOO real in a way, and you can see all kinds of flaws in shit. Props, makeup, costumes, etc......you can see shit they never wanted you to see.

it has nothing to do with the "1080" part.

its the 120hz that is making things look odd. its not meant to be turned on during movies and tv shows. it only has any real benefit with sports.

next time you watch football turn it on. when the ball flys through the air, instead of pixelating it will stay solid.

i never turn mine on though, its pretty much a gimmick.
