going to lose my pistols

even though my charge was a non violent misdemeanor ny state is going to take my pistol permit away from me had i been in another state i would be ok but ny state is one of the strictest when it comes to pistol permits ... i know some of the guys at the sheriffs office they said give them a week to see what they can do for me but i dont have high hopes

i can own shotguns and rifles but no pistols which boggles me ..

so i am going to build myself a short barrel pistol grip style shotgun .. i want the barrel as short as i legally can make it .. will be a pump as semi autos can jam , with a side grip on the slide , pistol grip and will load it with double o buck .. anything standing in front of me or to the right or left will get hit as the shot will spread as soon as it leaves the barrel ... double o buck is fucking nasty :) --

so anyone have ideas on base model shotguns to start with ?

shot gun has to be 18" most are 18.5" pump actually have a more failure rate than autos do to operator error. in a panic people short stroke it causing a jam. if you want the absoulte baddest shot gun made than can be legaly owned check Benelli M4

They also make a colapsable stock for it but it cost about 4-5 hundred extra on a gun that is already 1500

Benelli is the best you can get if you want to pump.

If the pump is not essential, the Saiga 12 is badass: Saiga 12 Short Barrel Shotgun, Semi-Auto

(there are all sorts of length options so you're legal in your state)

As for shortest legal barrel you should look into your state laws. In CA you can build just about anything in shotgun form as long as you go about it the right way.
