clearer screen and better internet browsing. YouTube - iPhone 4 Vs. Droid X: Smartphone Smackdown!

      BOOM!
Have you looked at them next to each other? It really is like splitting hairs to tell the difference. Does the iPhone4 have a HDMI output? Nope. LMAO!

You never heard me say that the Droid X is ultimately superior to the iPhone. It has it's pros and cons in comparison. I have verizon, I got (2) Dx's for $250. My monthly bill for (2) is $125 before taxes so I'm content with any of it's shortcomings. You fuckin faggot ass band wagon jumper. :retard:

there is still an unlimited data package for users using something other than a smartphone (basically a crappy phone with web capabilities). it's $15 and it's unlimited but it only works if you add it on a phone you bought out of contract and if you add the accessory on yourself online.

Yeah, but AT&T will come after you if you use that data plan with the iPhone.

I have that same data plan on my unlocked Nokia N97 mini. Fuck ATT. They don't have the IMEI number of my phone :D

You think they can't figure out what phone you are using? If you use an iPhone on a non-iPhone plan, I can guarantee that the information is passed on to the towers and to AT&T. They are pretty particular about the iPhone and B'berry as far as I know. I don't think they care about phones like the N97.

                              SWEET!!!!

I am in the clear. You're right about the iphone and BB because their IMEI numbers are registered to ATT

if you buy a phone that is not in the AT&T inventory (like if i were to buy an unlocked motorola droid and use it) AT&T wouldn't be able to read the IMEI properly and it wouldn't register as a smartphone needing the smartphone data plan. if you bought an unlocked version of a phone in their inventory (like an iPhone) then they would probably notify you or possibly change your plan over without notifying you.

this is taken directly from the contract that you sign with AT&T:

If it is determined that you are using an iPhone or other designated smartphone without an eligible data plan, AT&T reserves the right to add an eligible data plan to your account and bill you the appropriate monthly fee.
i don't know if that means any and all smartphones no matter if it's included in their inventory or not but it wouldn't make sense for their systems to have the ability to recognize thousands of IMEIs.
