Now before I start believe me i'm happy i'm in a situation where I at least have a job that pays ok and not unemployed.
Work has been very slow over the past year. Trying to find things to work on is hard when your office doesnt want you to work outside of your field. I try to find things to do or keep busy by like taking our fleet vehicles in for service, filing, scanning, shit like that. Now for stuff like this we have an overhead account to charge but you have to actually note that you work on something.
Well recently it's been getting even worse where there is absolutely no work to go around. It's unbearable. Trying to find stuff to do takes more time than actually doing stuff.
Now a couple months ago we got a company wide email that approximately 50 high up people got promotions. Making the rich richer. This company is so unbelievably top heavy its a joke.
This week us low end people got our "raises". Well lets just say some people didn't get a raise, one of those people being me. Now let me get this straight. The company has enough money to give promotions that include vehicle allowances, and raises to most people in the company, but they don't have enough to give EVERYONE a raise? Their explanation was that instead of giving us a raise we got to keep our jobs. Ok that's fine I have a job, but why did 90% of the people in the office get raises and some others promotions? I'm not getting the logic here.
On top of it all they went over our reviews with us and they make it sound like we don't work. WE DON'T HAVE ANY WORK TO DO ASSHOLES! How can we look busy if you don't have any work for us to do? Me and the other guy that didn't get anything sit in a high taffic area too so everyone is always being nosey to see what we are up to. So I asked to have my seat moved. Let's see how that goes.
I was told a while ago when we got bought out that I should look for another job by someone who left at that time. Guess I should have listened to him.
