my boxer had a bad day

well a friend brought over her boxer/pit mix today along with her bulldog --

i had them all in the house for a while so they could feel each other out and all seemed good so we went outside ,

they started to play with a soccer ball and that was going well till the boxer /pit mix blindsided my boy taking him off his feet and just went into pure attack mode .. she latched onto his face forcing him to open up his throat area luckily he was at an angle that she couldn't get latched totally onto his throat or probably would have killed him ...

my boy is like our son soo my wife and girls are screaming and my friend was in full panic mode ... i ran up on them as they were rolling on the ground and had to time it so i could grab her collar and get her off with minimal damage to my boy so basically waited for her to unlatch to try and get a better grip on his throat soon as she did i ripped her off of him and made her sit down .. she calmed right down .


she slightly tore his eyelid and his eye is bloodshot but nothing major ,, a lot of marks on his throat and his stomach but nothing deep ..

what puzzles me is he didn't do much to fight back as if he didn't want to bite or hurt her but she was trying to fucking kill him .. we have always taught him not to bite and be gentile which he is .. he is an awesome dog but i am afraid he felt he would get yelled at if he fought back so that really fucking bothers me !!!!!! i want him to defend himself she was in full kill mode i have seen pits fight to the death and that part of her was on full speed .

my friend is so upset the dog is beautiful and very good with kids and people .. doesn't bother the bulldog at all so something just didn't click with her and my boy ..

what was pretty cool is before i got to them the bulldog on his little stubs was trying to break it up . he was bouncing himself as best he could off both of them trying to get them to split apart


his eye is clearing up but will keep an eye on it ... he is currently sleeping upstairs on his chase lounge ... i feel bad for him i think he was just trying to figure out why the fuck this bitch was going nuts ..

if she didnt release i would have killed her to save my boy !!!! he will get spoiled the next few days .. went out and bought him a nice big bone for when he wakes .

i have seen dogs fight before and you cringe and feel bad but when your boy is getting attacked its a whole new feeling .. took all i had in me not to damage her dog and she knew it she was very sorry and thanked me for not killing her dog

sorry to hear that bigscott. i have a really soft spot for animals, especially dogs. i knew someone who had a pit that got into a fight with another pit and it basically damaged the other's leg so bad they had to amputate. but that dog was the sweetest thing and did the same thing and just didn't attack. but i hope your dog bounces back better than before. :)
