  • Getting a real nice lawn?

We just moved into our new house yesterday. I want to really make the lawn nice, but I'm not sure if it's best to get a place like chem lawn to get it to where I want it and just maintain it, or try and do it all myself.

Do it yourself, it isn't that difficult. Lime, seed, water, etc.....

Do you already have grass or was it just seeded?

If you are happy with the type of grass you have just fertilizer your lawn. I usually do it spring, summer, and fall. You can use a drop spreader or broadcast spreader. If you have some weeds use the fertilizer with weed control. Just make sure you don't over fertilize. I have a new lawn that is not matured and I used the recommended setting which was too much. Now I have some burn marks.

Grass is fine it's just cluttered with other crap, especially this clover looking stuff.

get the fertilizer that eliminates all extras like crab grass , clover among other types of weeds -- shib save your money and do it yourself

get yourself some grub x aswell as grubs do some major damage

How can I tell if I have grub problems? What kind of damage do they do? Can I use two control fertilizers mixed together?
