I'm not proud to be from a poor family but I grew up that way and got my ass kicked and beat down plenty growing up because kids thought they were cooler than me based on fashion and other material shit. Part of the reason I started training in martial arts, boxing, and wrestling. I can hold my own. And rocket tear me apart.

No, I agree totally in terms of life lessons an pride. I'm not proud that we were poor. It was terrible man my parents worked so hard and had shit. Just about everytime they would get some nice things they would end up selling them for xmas or birthdays, etc. We ate a lot of pbj and soup for dinner. I take nothing for granted. Things can go away faster than they came.
