a gunman is in the discovery building (which houses TLC, discovery channel, Military Channel and others) in silver spring because he is unhappy with the environmental programming the discovery channel is airing. he is suspected to have explosives attached to his body.

yeah. seriously. and it's so ironic that he picked an area in silver spring (which falls right between DC and Baltimore) which is the center for traffic in our area. 2 of the major roads are shut down and people working in the area are forced to take the subway or walk. my friend works in the building right across the discovery building and there is a mob of cops around the block.
