  • Bouncer/Shib/Timma, great podcast!

I have gotten hooked on podcasts after getting my iPhone - listen to them while driving or anytime I am sitting around anywhere.

In particular, I really dig "The Skeptics Guide to the Universe."

The Skeptics' Guide to the Universe - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bouncer, Shibby, Timma, anyone who is into science, you'll love this. Lots of really good scientific banter and debunking of crap pseudoscience that is reported. Very very entertaining... I highly recommend checking it out. You can just download them from the iTunes store.

Also check out their website. All the older episodes are available in their archives, as well as blog posts by the hosts.

About 80 minutes each. Great stuff. Every episode I have listened to so far has been absolutely riveting, even about topics that I am only marginally interested in. The show is so well put, the hosts are so smooth with their interaction with each other, they make it really great to listen to.

I usually listen to music podcasts. Armin Only and Tiesto's. My professors sometimes post up lecture on the school's channel. As for regular talk shows, I haven't really found any that keep my attention past two or three shows.

If you like science, check out the one I posted above. The thing I like about the show is the eclectic nature of the topics. For example, I just finished listening to Show 266. The topics were about a move to ban Wi-Fi (and the stupidity of the notion), about a psychic who was reported in the press to have found the body of a murder victim, about brain complexity and about neutron stars and black holes. All in 80 minutes....

That actually sounds like something I would listen too. I will check it out and get back to you.

Hey guys, I am listening to another skeptic podcast now. Search for Skeptoid on iTunes. The episodes are pretty short, typically 10 minutes or less and on 1 topic. I downloaded all 250 episodes or so that are available on iTunes, all the way from 2006. The host Brian Dunning is pretty engaging with a great sense of humor.

                        Check it out!
