no. you have to follow pretty strict rules in the first 2 groups.Originally posted by dna9488 View Postoh snap! Moving up on in the world I see. Have you gone through a set of tires yet?
its all about learning your lines, what gear your should be in at certain parts of the track, when to brake etc...
once you get up into the experienced group you can really start ripping around.

I guess now its time to quit bodybuilding, drop down to 180lbs and become the next Stig :D
You'll make better time in your Z weighing 180 then 260.

but yea i will admit, the instructor has told me many times the paddles are not optimal on an automatic gearbox. you dont have full control and the car doesnt necessarily shit down when you want it to. :fight:
for street driving though they are fine. just the track where they sort of get in the way.

1 on 1 yes, and yes they have a pretty good idea of what gear various cars should be in at certain parts of the track. these guys sit in all types of cars. from little fucken MX5's to ferrari's. they are pretty skilled instructors, not some average track tool.Originally posted by the art of war View Postwait , you are still in class stage w/other drivers are they going with you 1on1 and they just know the Z that well to tell shift points or you mean shift points just in regards to basic course navigation.

yea I believe it. Whenever you move to a house with a garage, buy a old ass 300zx or some thing (car that's manual) and build it in your spare time.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Post

You'll appreciate the way different cars handle on the track, and the biggest difference between manual and auto (with paddles) whipping around turns.
