I may be crazy, but I am calling for Gilbert to be the best Longhorn QB in Texas history, or at least the last decade. :)

funny - i was just thinking about pro comparisons , have you noticed that he has a marino release ? He really could be special man.Originally posted by Shibby View PostI watch everything I can obviously, but what I notice him versus other QB's is the reads he makes. It literally reminds me of Payton, but an amateur version.

I didn't think/notice that, but it's crazy how he isn't talked about much but those are the guys who end up being great.Originally posted by the art of war View Postfunny - i was just thinking about pro comparisons , have you noticed that he has a marino release ? He really could be special man.

Garret Gilbert is too raw, he holds the ball too long and has ZERO touch, all his passes are on a line and too low, sometimes you need to put some air under it....his passes are easy to defense by undercutting the receiver.
Greg Davis is a pussy play caller, he needs to open it up.....
Gilbert with 3 turnovers himself so far today in the first half vs. UCLA....pathetic.

I was born and raised outside of Austin in San Marcos, and I attended school at Texas Tech in Lubbock. I've forgotten more about Texas football that you probably ever knew. Are you saying that Gilbert has been impressive in any game this year? Which game? The Rice game? Texas Tech? Tech has a horrible horrible defense. Do you know how awful Rice is? UT has been flat all year, and their defense has bailed them out and today they got exposed. They will also get embarrassed by Oklahoma and Nebraska. Gilbert is nowhere near Colt Mccoy's level, and never will be. Many of my friends who went to UT feel the same way.Originally posted by Shibby View PostIs this the only Texas game you have watched this year?

LMAO. How can you even say the phrase "win out" when they play Oklahoma and Nebraska back to back? Take the blinders off. lolOriginally posted by Shibby View PostWell, I think Texas BCS chances are done for the year already. Even if they win out, they don't look to have near a tough enough schedule ahead of them.
