man scott you really are the fucking most straight up dude I know on here. I appreciate that you say what you mean - I don't fucking know enough about most of this shit to talk, but I always get shit for having an opinion that isn't politically correct. So fuck all that, give me life experience anyday over what a book says. :weights:

I don't see a reason to not have women in the military, just not women in certain jobs. Obviously they can't be infantry which i think is good. But there are plenty of jobs in the military that they can do like, intel, personnel, etc. Men feel the need to protect females and that will have an effect in combat. I don't have any problems with gays in the military either. It's not like they are chilling out in the showers or locker rooms waiting to butt rape you.

they are chilling in the bathroom like I am chilling in the ladies room tho bro. If I shower around a bunch of chicks - guess what - kinda noticeable.Originally posted by beefcake View PostI don't see a reason to not have women in the military, just not women in certain jobs. Same thing applies with guys in the military, the ones I know will literally flip out if you bring that stuff up. The last thing they want while they are doing that shit is to know some guy might be checking them out.
I'm sure someone will say "They are insecure" - dude getting fucked in the ass and checked out by someone who does ... that's just fucked up for a guy to be like "oh no problem, let me show you all angles" - shit's fucking gay and bottom line is it's the elephant in the room. So called PC people make it about everyone else being wrong so they can be comfortable. Everyone else is out there fighting the war.

The reason I dont believe "Don't ask don't tell" is worthwhile is because its not truly what it says it is. I remember reading a story a while back about a soldier who's personal email was searched. They found out he was gay, and discharged him from the military. That certainly seems like asking to me.
That being said, I have gay family, but they don't push any agendas on me. On the other hand, every gay guy I have ever met has been a complete douchebag who treats everyone else like shit because they believe they are entitled to do so. There is a difference between wanting to be accepted as equals and pushing for special treatment because you like cock. Unfortunately I think gays serving openly in the military would EVENTUALLY turn into that.
After further consideration, I personally believe there is no right answer. A true "dont ask dont tell" would perhaps be a good answer. But what is in place now is only "dont ask dont tell" on paper.

Obama quote LOL.... Liberals LMAOOriginally posted by Shibby View PostYou say fagism is what's wrong with this country. I say it's people exactly like you. Hypocritical bigots that want the world to be what makes them comfortable and everything else is wrong. As long as you are happy, everyone else can suffer.

I see it as not ever letting anyone forget that there is so much of a world out there beyond our own. A world that can do great things and be great people. Not just gay, anything that makes someone different from the mainstream. It gets very easy for people to ignore and forget about all the people that are in the minority. Out of sight out of mind. Soldiers fought to give us a country to allow people the freedom to try and be who they want to be. These same gay soldiers that fight for our freedoms shouldn't have to come home to fight for their individual happiness. I don't think anyone here feels that those fighting for our freedom are fighting to let some have personal freedom and not others.
Raising awareness is always a hard thing to do because people don't want to be reminded of things that make them uncomfortable. Most don't see how the limitations a minority live with every day having a certain groups beliefs thrown in their face, with no way to look away. It's a double edge sword. No body wants things forced on them, but the only way for people to see how others are constant reminders.

I'm not a liberal. I'm me. Placing labels on me only makes yourself comfortable, it doesn't make it true. You are the one who is part of a group. Picking and choosing what parts of that group you want to associate yourself with doesn't make you any less a part of the whole.Originally posted by Gods Son View PostObama quote LOL.... On a side note, (before I heterosexually go fuck my girlfriend), I think its shitty that this subject is being voted on by Congress instead of the military. Give ballots to all high ranking military officials and let them decide. These are the men that are/have been in the shit. Why should some 60 something year old woman in between tennis lessons be deciding what is best in this situation? If a General in the Marines says he sees a problem with open homosexuality in the military than so be it.Last edited by The_Grinder; 09-22-10, 09:36 PM.

You are proud to put a label on yourself when it fits your agenda. You've never had a problem with someone labeling you an atheist. Now all of the sudden you don't want labels placed on you?Originally posted by Shibby View PostI'm not a liberal. I'm me. Once again you need to read a lot more. Every time someone says I'm atheist, I correct them and make it known that I am an non-believer. I have also said placing a label on someone doesn't make it true. However, it doesn't mean it's not true.Originally posted by Tizz View PostYou are proud to put a label on yourself when it fits your agenda.
