was just having this discussion the other day - I find forums are a totally different world than this constant flow of updates ... "going to get nails done" - the fuck do i care about your nails... I genuinely feel like we are losing touch with how to interact / cope with life, slowly and steadily.

Over time what's gonna happen ? I mean shib you are all about evolution - imagine how this is gonna continue. Either way for or against - it's taking over one thing after another.

seriously - I am the exact same way - I had facebook for awhile but fuck that man. I use skype for my relatives across the drink - and I talk to people in PERSON or on the phone ... I'm not gonna go check out a bunch of updates and photos of people, i'd rather go do shit.

I am another non-social networker :D. I made a facebook once since my wife and brother didn't. I was never on it, so I just deleted it. I have never read or made a tweet and have never specifically searched for a blog.

my teacher in one class said and I quote, "I have two young kids, so if I am more than 15 minutes late, you can leave the child may be ill, however, I will be able to send out a tweet and save you the hassle" - I raised my hand and asked him what a tweet was(I know the idea, never been to twitter, just hate this fucking society where everyone conforms) Entire class laughs at me like I'm in the stone age, teacher even chuckled and asked if I had an email address. I left him with a kind reminder that I was paying for his two kids to eat. He hasn't been late so far. I find it offensive when people assume everyone has conformed to anything, especially a fucking online social network.

i will admit that i used to be a facebook addict in high school but then again i was the target audience. now, to me, it's just some place where i can post pictures that i take from different events so people can see them. but now i have been using picasa image sharer instead which is a lot easier.

I will say my friend basically use social networking to launch his photography career - which has done quite well. I can see ups to the whole concept. In general, I'm sick of random msg's / stalkers - I'll leave it to other people - those I care about I see in person or talk to at least on the phone.
