Subwoofers / amps guys ?

I think they are 5x112. Back to your stereo...those doubledins are no deeper then your average cd player how can it not fit?

but yea, according to crutchfield it will not fit. Talked to a few friends and they said 2 issues will come up. One is these headunits are deeper than standard CD players and in some instances fitment is an issue. 2nd is because of the deepeness issue the unit will not securely fit and end up sliding forward and back.

I've seen one custom mod of this headunit inside a '00 Jetta. His issue was deepness and length. He had to saw the edges of the plastc on his front dash and set up brackets in the back. Its a bitch, but manageable.us wish it was plug and play

Fuck crutchfield they made me buy the wrong stereo because their pos site said my 03 Audi a6 wouldn't acomidate a doubledin so I ended up buying the ktv 512 which has a slide out screen instead of a exposed one so never again I'd take cructhfield's word for a stereo advice. And I say go check out the kenwood. I willing to bet money on it that it would fit in your car bro. :)

seriously - I appreciate the real advice guys - granted the thread is hard to follow from time to time *cough* :P but appreciate all the help.

I'm gonna make sure I take progress pictures. This is my first SUV , I'm pumped - I had an X5 as a loaner car from the bmw dealership (during winter in snow , lucky deal ) when I took my roadster in for work last year - and honestly I much prefer the benz. But that wasn't the top of the line X5 either.
