I know some of you are into history. I've always been fascinated with WWII history, especially the eastern front - which most of us in the USA didn't learn much about in school for some reason. Here are some historic photos of miles and miles of frozen German soldiers in Russia.

Also for those who do podcasts, there is one called Hardcore History by Dan Carlin that's really good. He just released a series called Ghosts on the Ostfront that talks about the eastern front in a way that we never knew (free on iTunes).

By the time the US and Allied forces got involved in the war, it was basically a walk in the park compared to what the Soviets and Germans went through before hand.

Yea, not only the Russian winter but the sheer size of Russia boggles the mind. The Germans would have had trouble even in nice weather. You can only go as far as your supply lines.

Hitler was a mad genius but alot of his battle plans and invasions were based on Nostredamus writings about him. The catholic church concidered NOs a prophet in the early days of there church

I dont really know why he isnt now? that was 100s of years ago.I guess because the holy bible was already established before his writtings.
