I never seen 2 QB's take such a beating in 1 game.
Jay Cutler looks like garbage.
He's not the quickest decision maker ever... but the O-Line is who looked like shit. I had a feeling the Giants were going to bring some heat last night. Cutler picked the Packers apart last week because they were dropping 8 into coverage and giving him all the time in the world.
Not sure why Lovie Smith and the bears didn't throw out a few screens or underneath routes to keep the linebackers honest. Anyhow, they exposed some weakness last night and I think Carolina could get their first win next week if they bring the same kind of pressure.
only in some cases was it the offensive lines fault. the fucken guy wanted to sit there and have some tea with the fucken ball.
you better fucken believe if that was Payton in that situation he would have made shit happen.
after the 2nd or 3rd sack you could see it in his eyes, he gave up.
Peyton would have made things happen by changing the plays at the line to punish them for bringing all that pressure. Cutler doesn't have that same freedom. The Bears' recievers kept running fly and post routes and Cutler had no one to throw the ball too. At least have a RB out in the flats or have the TE running a dump route or something. I see the play calling, the O-Line performance, and Cutler's performance being equal contributors to the worst offensive performance I've seen in a while.
You can't escape the fact that he held the ball way to long.
Not denying that at all. But to me that was just as much a product of poor play calling as anything else. Lots of pressure, nothing down field. A few underneath routes and a screen would have solved that problem.
