So the Evo has it, I like the 300bhp version idea, stuff running out of petrol after 50 miles

The only thing I didn't like about the new EVO when I drove it was the paddle shifters in the MR. I would 10x rather have the GSR was traditional stick shift. The paddle shifters were basically just a fancy automatic. It would shift gears on its own sometimes even if you didnt want it to. Beast of a car and handled like it was on rails, but the power delivery was just a little too refined. If I could get the look of a EVO X and the performance of EVO IX that would be perfect!

Have they worked out the shifting w/STi ? I remember when I had it - one thing people knocked it for (which is stupid because it's geared for rally , not for 0-60 test speeds ) was the need to be in third to hit 60.. making that 0-60 look slower than the car really was. Gear ratio was made for dirt tracks not friggen dick measuring 0-60 !!!
