  • CB Radio

Need some help finding a decent CB Radio to keep in my car. I plan on doing a lot of long driving this fall with the VW/Audi Club. In my local car club there are about 10 of us that will be driving, so we all want to keep in touch during the 2-3 hour drives.

My buddies were telling me to get a 40 channel CB Radio and a magnetic antenna to have enhance my distance. The question is which one is a good one to have without breaking the bank?

The first drive out will be Sunday, October 17, 2010 and we're doing a Skyline Drive from MD to VA. 2 hour drive easily.

The other drive will be Toys For Tots in November in Philly.

    Thanks guys/girls

I knew some EMT's that also did storm chasing. You act like if you don't know them, no one does.

Midland is fine, as is the Cobra magnet mount.

I would suggest you go to your closest truck stop and have their CB sales guy set it up for you.

Any CB you get will have to be tuned and they'll have the SWR meter and the experience.

                  what is a "hunting lease"?

a leased house you use to hunt?
