The older boxers were tough in the sense they started bare knuckles and progressed into lightly padded gloves prior to the heavier gloves used today so they were gritty sons a bitches that could take a beating, but they were given chumps to build their careers they wouldn't have lasted long against more recent boxers.


As far as Columbus, it's still disputed whether he truly discovered America.
