Seriously people? These things can get away from you in a heartbeat on asphalt, I can't even imagine wet sand. It would be like ice.

My theory is that they made the story up about the stranger in the bar. These two were drunk and did it themselves thinking if they blamed it on an anonymous stranger they would get in more trouble.

Either way... these two are fucked. I'm sure the extra insurance plan Hertz offers won't cover something like this.
