  • Creation - The True Story of Charles Darwin (2009)

    Creation (2009) - IMDb

I just watched this movie On Demand. It was a compelling movie that I never even heard of until browsing through the On Demand selection. It makes me want to read The Origin of Species right away.

in that link it says "struggles to find a balance between his science and his religious wife."

i am pretty sure that he himself was also religious.

He struggled with it because so much about biblical history he didn't agree with. Through the last few years of writing The Origin of Species he rejected religion, but accepted there was A god that ultimately created the laws of earth.

Origin of Species is wicked good bro. I'll be you've read Darwin's black box ? If not check that out - so you can see both sides of the argument from a side arguing for the existance of God.

I want to read Origin of Species to see how Darwin could understand evolution so well in the 1800's. The book I am going to start reading is on evolution "The greatest show on earth" by Richard Dawkins. I want to read a current evolution book first and then read Darwins.

See I don't discount god; but I don't believe some guy made everything outta clay. Somewhere something had to happen to make everything including space; that is where god comes in for me; but evolutions and such was all in the master plan. I just think of all of this a giant science experiment that some greater power is conducting. Just like a scientist studying a cell.
