I have seen it offered alone and at BJJ schools.

Just do BJJ, it is an amazing sport that I wish I was still doing right now. Or do both if the school offers both of them. One of my favorite BJJ guys did capoeira for years before he started BJJ, he now dominates.

Shib I would just go the BJJ route. They will usually let you try out a few free classes, go to a gi and nogi class. I started doing nogi only and thought the gi was stupid, after 12 months I started training in the gi and didn't look back. It is physically and mentally challenging.

Most BJJ schools charge a lot now since it has gotten popular, if cost is an issue then look into some cheap Judo classes at a college or elsewhere.
