Moss’ Team Meal Rant May Have Led to His Release on Monday

Details are beginning to surface about Randy Moss’ quick and abrupt exit out of Minnesota. Yahoo! Sports reported on Tuesday that an unknown teammate recalled an incident that Moss had with the team’s caterers last week. The receiver openly criticized a team meal in front of its culinary staff last Friday, creating an unpleasant situation for the team and its staff.

“What the [expletive]? Who ordered this crap?” Moss reportedly said after tasting the food. “I wouldn’t feed this to my dog.”

The player witness added: “This wasn’t a chain, it was a mom-and-pop restaurant, and you could tell it was their best stuff,” the witness said, according to the report. “And [Moss] is at his locker saying, ‘You know, I used to have to eat that crap but now I’ve got money.’ You just felt so sad for them. I had never seen anyone treated like that.

I have mixed feelings about this. Obviously the way he went about it was wrong.
