I'm not particularly surprised to hear about a story like this. 4 black guys at a party in Atlanta beat another black kid to death this weekend. Apparently it was completely unprovoked, and the victim was 5'6" 125lbs. One of the murderers was quoted as saying: "I'm gonna hit the next guy that walks by", so they killed the kid.

While I was reading this, I said to myself, "here is a time that the NAACP could earn some respect from me. Step in, say you do not condone young black men acting like this, and you need to wise up." Well, the NAACP did get involved. Of course, only to criticize police for the way they questioned all the witnesses. What a fucking joke. This country is going to shit. I'm sick of anyone who is black not being held accountable for their actions. I'm even sicker of the white people who try to deny it or side with the blacks saying their "circumstances" give them some kind of excuse for acting like this.

IT'S NOT A STEREOTYPE IF A CERTAIN GROUP OF PEOPLE ACT A CERTAIN WAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!!!!

4 Arrested After Teen Beat To Death At Party

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. -- A teen was killed in an unprovoked attack after a Saturday night party in Douglas County, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Four people have been charged in the killing.

The four arrested have been identified as Quantez Devonta Mallory, Horace Damon Coleman, Emmanuel Benjamin Boykins and Tracen Lamar Franklin.

Deputies said the incident began with a small house party on Independence Drive around 1 a.m. They said the party grew until there were eventually up to 80 attendees.

Douglas County Sheriff Phil Miller said a fight broke out between two females at the party early Sunday. Miller said one of the females hit a male, who said he wouldn't hit a girl but would hit the next male that walked by.

Eighteen-year-old Bobby Tillman was the next male to walk by. Authorities said multiple attackers beat him.

Miller said Tillman was still breathing as deputies arrived at the scene. Deputies administered CPR to the teen, but he did not survive.

Georgia's West Branch NAACP chapter launched an investigation into the questioning of the party-goers.

When deputies arrived, they rounded up numerous party-goers onto a bus for questioning, authorities said.

NAACP officials said they were concerned that parents may not have been notified about the bus interviews. But Miller said the deputies were just doing their jobs, and they will continue to conduct interviews.

"We didn't try to offend anybody," Miller told Channel 2's Pam Martin.

Deputies said the homeowners were present during the party, but would not be held responsible for the killing.

a stereotype is simply something that fits a pattern. it's not a bad thing. it's simply how our society likes to confirm and since the race is something we already do unintentionally, the intentional acts will follow. all asians are horrible drives not because they lack ability but because they try to be overly cautious. black people don't cause more violence because it's in their nature, but it's in their nature not to take shit from others. though the acts may not be stereotypical but the attitudes that cause those behaviors are similar.

50 years is not enough time for a group of people to change their habits and view of the world. and i don't think it will make much of a difference for a while. as far as the gang stuff, that exists in every race/ethnicity. whites, blacks, asians, middle easterners. they all do that. i just think the reason why the white/black issue gets a lot of media attention is the fact that it's a long-time issue that everyone is pretty much aware of.

(Espcially considering the very small number of current living blacks that ever lived through that time period)

As far as "there are bad people in every race". Of course thats true. I, as a white man acknowledge when another white person commits a terrible act, and deserves to have their freedom revoked. The pattern the NAACP follows, is to back and support the black criminals no matter what. Take the above story for example. The murderers were black, the victim was black. Who else can the NAACP get mad at? The white cops. The true advancement for blacks would come from the NAACP calling these 4 "thugs" out on their behavior. Maybe look into how they can help this troubled neighborhood. But no... lets try to accuse the white cops of wrongdoing here. So 1 dimensional... so predictable.

(And by the way, just for the record: Blacks commit about 34% of the assaults, 34% of the rapes, 50% of the homicides and 54% of the robberies. and blacks make up 12% of the U.S. population. Truth in numbers. Go ahead, blame it on their unfortunate conditions growing up.)

it's enough for the younger generation to deal with it the expected way but it isn't enough time for the older generation to learn to deal with it. if you were black and enslaved, then you lived to see things made alright, would you be 100% okay with it?

and it's not like racism/stereotyping has gone away from the white side. whites may not go around raping blacks at the same rate but it doesn't mean they aren't treating them poorly in other ways. i've seen pro-whites treat black students drastically differently in schools, work, and even in social environments.

i understand what you're saying in that an institution is provoking such attitudes. but i guess you also have to realize that maybe the institution is just linked to popular figures who are such radicals that you assume the institution backs that. it's almost like the whole thing going on with terrorism. just because the al-qaida radicals do things in the name of islam makes some people (not necessarily you) assume that all muslims see those acts as alright.
