BACKGROUND
FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski will announce this week whether he'll fulfill President Obama's promise to protect the open Internet and Net Neutrality. And the New York Times reported last night [Read more]:
Level 3 Communications, a central partner in the Netflix online movie service, accused Comcast on Monday of charging a new fee that puts Internet video companies at a competitive disadvantage.
Level 3, which helps to deliver Netflix’s streaming movies, said Comcast had effectively erected a tollbooth that “threatens the open Internet,” and indicated that it would seek government intervention...
Net neutrality, which posits that Internet traffic should be free of any interference from network operators like Comcast, is thought to be on the December agenda of the Federal Communications Commission.
...under pressure from Comcast, “Level 3 agreed to the terms, under protest, in order to ensure customers did not experience any disruptions,” Mr. Stortz said...Mr. Stortz implied that Comcast was taking the action to impair companies that compete with its own cable and Internet services.
Bottom line: If this new fee isn't paid, Comcast will block Netflix. Sign the petition telling the FCC to stop this type of abuse -- and protect Net Neutrality.

Speaking of Comcast, those fucks messed up my interent as of Sunday. Fuckin DNS Error messages and slow connections. The whole east coast is affected by it unfortunately.
Now Comcast brings this shit. They need to stop being so God damn greedy.
All of this bad publicity is making Verizon look like a savior. Wouldn't be surprised to see a large increase in FiOS users

Fuck all Cable companies. We have Charter down here. Worst company ever. Every month my bill would be a few bucks higher and they could never justify it. Getting DirecTV installed this weekend and switching to a slower AT&T DSL service. Its worth it to save some money and not give any more money to the cable companies.

If fios was in my area I would give comcast the boot; they are so corrupt; they should be charged with price gouging.Originally posted by dna9488 View PostSpeaking of Comcast, those fucks messed up my interent as of Sunday. FiOS is available, but its like $65 a month. We're paying $42 for comcast.Originally posted by Konitz View PostIf fios was in my area I would give comcast the boot; they are so corrupt; they should be charged with price gouging.
Luck you man. We were on the "promotion" for 9 years. $13 a month for cable TV and we got 120 channels, $42 for cable. When comcast made the switch to Xfinity, the bill all of a sudden jumped to $120/month for both cable TV and internet. We tried everything to get our promotion back but Comcast didn't do shit. We said fuck it and got basic cable TV for $10 a month, gets 20 channels, and only 5 of those channels are worth watching :weights:Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Postcomcast is good to me.

FiOS has a new feature called flexview. You can access all media types on your dvr or pc from anywhere in the world (assuming you have cell service or internet) on your laptop, smartphone, or another pc. Pretty cool feature. Just got their Ultimate HD and 35/35 internet for $80/mo. locked in for 2 yrs.
