  • I am afraid the days of BMW as a respected racing company are over...

First they pull out of formula 1 last year, then the new M3 comes out and its heavier and gets out performed on the track against the new 2011 V8 Mustang that cost 25k less.

Now they are pulling out of yet one more racing series..

Sad days for BMW fans. All those years of racing that made these cars great is being thrown away...

i would say they are far from going out of business. i think its more likely that they go the way of honda and switch focus from racing to just making boring shit.

They have such a strong following its probably all about the fleet car market and luxury market for them. Shame the E30, E46 and the E90 M3's are beautiful machines.

The E90 sport coupe I had was a great car also

They also raised the price on the new M3. My boss just bought a 5 series and spent wayyy too much, it doesn't do anything for me.

This has been in the works for quite a while.

Real professional drivers like me have known it for years.

Sad you didn't see it coming.

I should've known that. No wonder they cut me out of the sponsorship. :pissed::D
