Sad fuckin truth. The school system is shit, and kids aren't being taught any real world knowledge unless they pursue higher education. Go to a high school economics class and ask what a credit score is. I bet 80% of the kids don't know, or say it has something to do with a pirate song.

Let fill in this thread a bit: :hibb:

Bouncer: Its them fuckin southern hillbillers...

    Shibby: Its those silly Christians....

It is scary. At one of the law schools I visited (considered one of the top in the country) I left unimpressed with the intellect of the student's I spoke to. Granted, it was a small sample and they may have been intelligent but just not demonstrated it. But just the feeling I got speaking to them showed they were lacking some type of intelligence, be it interpersonal or book smarts.

My university is no better. Entitlement seems to be the word of the decade. While people think they are entitled, I prefer to earn and they steal their entitlement

do you think people who are of higher intelligence seem to be more humble than the person who simply excels at one skill?

Tough call. Being the best at any 1 thing gives bragging rights. So being the best in one thing may be the metephorically crutch someone who cannot do anything else relies on

Lawyers don't normally do the menial work. We dictate and the assistants do the rest.
