A Columbia University Drug Bust caught five students who tried to turn Columbia University into a "high" school. Five students at the prestigious college - some from wealthy families - made stacks of cash by peddling a wide range of narcotics out of their frat houses and dorm rooms, authorities said. The Ivy Leaguers arrested yesterday allegedly supplied classmates with everything from cocaine and marijuana to LSD and Adderall - with the LSD at times applied to Altoids mints and SweeTarts candy, said Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget Brennan.
At least two students - Chris Coles and Harrison David - whined after being arrested that they sold drugs for tuition money, court records show.
"Why do you think I have to do this s- -t?" asked David.
He then blamed his doctor dad, griping, "He won't pay my tuition."
The other three students busted in "Operation Ivy League" were Adam Klein, Jos Stephan Perez, a model and poet widely known on campus as Stephan Vincenzo, and Michael Wymbs.
Most of the 31 drug sales to undercover cops - totaling $11,000 - allegedly occurred in the common areas and bedrooms of three frat houses on West 114th Street and the students' rooms at Intercultural House and East Campus Housing, authorities said.
