  • Shot a H&K P30 today

and I sucked :D. I went to a range and rented the gun. I pretty much kept them inside the 8in circle and with one lucky bulls eye from about 20-25ft away. I would should ten rounds and switch with the guy I was with. Shot a total of 50 rounds. I had at least one round of each 10 that went way off target :P. I had only shot a 22 before today.

the 2 bulls eyes on the right have decent grouping for 25ft and never shooting a real gun before. it dont take long to get good if you pratice. The HK P30 is a bad ass gun also

I wouldn't mind going again, it was fun. It can be a little expensive though considering I'm not a big gun person. I enjoy bow shooting more.

A hillbilly would have got one for their 10th birthday. I never even shot one until today :)

From looking at your target I would say you were doing the most common things among new shooters.

-Jerking the trigger, not a smooth steady squeeze.
-White knuckle death grip on the pistol, not a firm solid grip.
-Anticipating recoil causing the pistol to nose dive, not being relaxed and following through.

All very common and all easily corrected with proper training and some range time.

It also helps to get a pistol and do plenty of dry-fire practice at home. And the next time you go to the range have a friend load your mags for you and have them insert snap-caps at random. A bang...bang.....bang....click.....will really show you if you're flinching, pulling or jerking the trigger.

Stick with it, be safe and have fun.

                      Yes indeed.

BB guns at age six, .22 at ten, shotguns at 12, handguns at 16, etc.....

Yes that is the most common thing anticipating recoil and that is also the most common way to see by sticking in snap caps. exelent advise

I do that all the time I can get my chica everytime and i admit i get caught doing it also jus not nearly as bad, lol.

You're just pissed you live in a commie shithole of a state.

They don't even trust you to pump your own gas.
