I'll be honest here. As a football player, I respect Vick and enjoy watching him play. Outside of the NFL, i think he is a dirty scumbag for what he did to dogs.

I'm of the opinion that if he truly proves himself to be worthy, than I can't think of a stronger message he can send to the young black kids that are thinking of following in his footsteps than truly caring for a dog the right way.

Don't get me wrong, I hate the guy. I think he has a long way to go. But I compare it to the talks we used to get from the former drug addicts in school. (which I actually did listen to) Hearing it from someone who had actually been there and turned there life around had a bigger impact on me.
