  • No, gym? No problem.... Uganda style

This picture was posted on rosstraining.com - rural Ugandans getting jacked with homemade gym equipment made of concrete, rocks, etc. :clapback:

Amazing.... makes me feel more and more ashamed of fat Western dipshits..

I think the original article was from Men's Fitness magazine - I'll try to find it in the public library and get more details.

That is cool. Props for them for doing it. However, you have no idea of their handmade stuff is safe or not. You could be benching 135lbs and just have the shit crash on you.

Yeah.....but you take the same risk at your gym.

A 135 db snapped while a guy was doing incline one day at an old gym. Shit happens.

DNA, you're missing the point. They have the fire. They wanted it so bad that they didn't let things like poverty and lack of equipment slow them down. The made something out of nothing. That's the attitude that's going to get them success.

This is the lesson that we need to take from this.

Just compare these dudes to the obese fucks in the West who sit with their big Macs and their TVs and waddle around leading their sorry lives.....

That's awesome! We use to lift sandbags when we first got to Iraq. I wish I had taken some pictures to share, but here's a few I found on the net of some other guys. Most of the FOBs and COPs have decent gyms now.
